A large crowd gathered today at Mother A.M.E. Zion Church in Manhattan to bid farewell to civil rights icon Hazel Dukes.
Dukes died on March 1, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was a prominent figure in the fight for equality, serving as the president of the New York State Conference for the NAACP.
