In news that many people won’t find surprising, the sales of chocolate have been on rise since mid-March.           

During the 17-week period that ended on June 27, people bought $3.7 billion worth of chocolate.

That's a 6.3% increase from the same time last year.

Analysts say we needed comfort food since most of us became confined to our homes to deal with COVID-19.
