The Childcare Council of Westchester held an award ceremony Friday morning to honor those who are committed to supporting children and families.
The Champion for Children awards took place at the Westchester Marriott.
This year, the council honored New York State Regent Judith Johnson, as well as Monroe College and the Westchester Library system.
The council also honored several community and business leaders.
News 12 reporter Tara Rosenblum served as emcee for the event.
