Child, attendant sent to hospital after bus involved in multicar crash

Officials from Mar Can Transportation, a school bus service company, said the bus attendant and child were sent to the hospital out of abundance of caution after the accident near Exit 5.

An attendant and a child were sent to the hospital on Friday after a bus they were on was involved in a multicar crash on I-287 in Greenburgh.
Officials from Mar Can Transportation, a school bus service company, said the bus attendant and child were sent to the hospital out of abundance of caution after the accident near Exit 5.
It occurred Friday morning when a car hit the bus from behind. The bus then hit the car in front of it.
Officials said three kids, a driver and an attendant were on board the bus at the time of the accident.
They were coming from Manhattan and were headed to a school called Reach Academy.
Officials said the remaining kids were transferred to another bus that so they could continue making their way to the school.
News 12 crews spotted state police at the scene. Their officers said an investigation is ongoing.
Police said the accident caused the right lane on I- 287 east to be blocked temporarily. The lane has since reopened.
