Caring for the Hungry and Homeless of Peekskill held a turkey trot event Saturday and collected food donations to help community members in need.

Participants brought frozen turkeys, ham or chicken in order to join the trot. Organizers say the food will go to CHHOP’s turkey giveaway and Fred’s Pantry.

CHHOP supports survivors of domestic violence, veterans experiencing homelessness, immigrants, people with mental health issues and low-income families.
