Habitat for Humanity of Westchester is helping families affected by an apartment fire in Peekskill in July.
The fire on Freemont Street left 21 families homeless.
The Lopez family was one of the families affected by the fire.
"It happened out of nowhere," said Franciso Lopez. "I was concerned about where we would stay. We realized we had no place to go, no furniture ... it was upsetting."
On Thursday, the Lopez family moved into their new two-bedroom home in Peekskill.
Habitat for Humanity donated $25,000 worth of labor, love and furniture to the victims.
There are still families that need help after losing everything in the fire, including a large family and two families with newborn children.
