Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) hoped to talk about health care Sunday in New York City, but her presidential bid took center stage.
The Chappaqua resident and former first lady spoke at the Ryan Chelsea Clinton Community Health Center on 10th Avenue. The appearance was the senator's first since she announced her presidential run on her Web site Saturday. Clinton saved questions surrounding her campaign until the end of the press conference.
The junior senator said making health care affordable and accessible to all children is a major issue. Clinton wants to create a seamless network of institutions where private physicians will be reimbursed from the government and parents will have peace of mind about their children's health.
