A car stolen in Yorktown on Wednesday has been recovered.

Police say the car was found in Orange, New Jersey.

However, authorities say other car owners haven’t been so lucky.

They say there has been a rash of thefts lately and that many of the vehicles have been unlocked with the keys inside. Owners are reminded to lock their cars, roll up windows, remove keys and belongings, park in well-lit areas, and install sensor lights.
