The driver hit the home's gas line, causing a massive fire that took about an hour to extinguish.
Police were able to track the driver down at his home. He has been identified as 33-year-old Jude Donnelly and is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and numerous other traffic and vehicle charges.
They say drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident.
