Car hits female pedestrian in Ardsley
A car hit a female pedestrian in Ardsley on busy Ashford Avenue this morning.
Police say the 55-year-old woman was struck around 8 a.m.by a car driven by Joseph Barillo, 73, of Dobbs Ferry. They say Barillo left the scene of the accident, but he was tracked down at his home.
Barillo was charged with leaving the scene of a car accident, which resulted in personal injury. He was released on his own recognizance.
The woman was taken to Westchester Medical Center and is in serious condition.
