A car crashed into a building Thursday in Somers, according to officials.

Authorities say the incident occurred at an Optum Medical Care on Route 202.

Crews had to secure an area of the building to prevent it from collapsing until the driver could be extricated.

The driver was treated by EMS at the scene.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
