An elderly man crashed his car into the front of a store in New Rochelle Saturday.

Officials say the man stepped on the gas pedal, which sent his vehicle speeding into the Simply the Best Fruits and Vegetables store.

A woman standing nearby barely escaped being hit. She was taken the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

The store's owner says the damage is not too extensive.
