A West Point cadet has been found guilty on all charges in a child pornography case.
Ricky Hester, a cadet with just a semester to go before graduation, is in federal custody after being convicted on charges of sending and receiving hundreds of images of mostly 4- to 10-year-old boys in hardcore sexual situations. Prosecutors say the images were sent and received by Hester at his West Point dorm room, his home in Indiana and also using his cellphone.
Hester's parents, friends and fiancee were in the courtroom when the verdict was handed down by the six-man, six-woman jury.
Hester's sentencing has been set for Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. He is facing between five and 30 years in prison.
