The only no-kill animal shelter in the Bronx could be forced to close its doors for good.
NYC's Top Dog animal shelter in Westchester Square has been caring for cats and dogs for the past four years. The owner, Pedro Rosario, says the shelter has been unable to come up the funds necessary to keep running. It costs about $10,000 per month to run the shelter.
Rosario says the facility does not receive any funding from the city, although he is trying to work with local officials to secure some funds.
Without help, the shelter will be forced to close on Nov. 30.
