An Orange County house that was bulldozed by a husband who never told his wife will now be cleaned up the city.
James Rhein bulldozed his wife's home on Woodland Avenue in Middletown last January.
The wife, Diane Andryshak, told News 12 she was shocked to come home and find nothing but rubble.
Months went by and the squabbling couple did not clean up the site, so now the city is taking action because it is a fire hazard and has asbestos.
The city says it took so long to take action because it's still private property. It says after repeated attempts to get it cleaned up, enough is enough.
Rhein is due in court later this month.
The Middletown DPW commissioner says the cleanup is planned for Oct. 21.
