The Bronx Zoo, along with the borough president's office, kicked off its 6th annual toy drive to help military families this holiday season.
Fifth-graders from the P.S. 205 student council were the first guests to donate unwrapped presents at the zoo. For the next several weeks, the group will be collecting toys at their school for local veterans and their families.
Donation boxes will also be stationed at all Wildlife Conservation Society attractions, including the New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and the Queens Zoo.
Guests who donate a toy will receive a free ticket to the Bronx Zoo.
