Continued construction on the Crane Road Bridge is causing highway officials to issue a traffic alert for drivers using the Bronx River Parkway this week.
Portions of the northbound side of the parkway were closed today between the Sprain Brook Parkway and the Westchester County Center.
Officials say drivers can expect delays throughout the week as workers install permanent median islands and clean drainage structures. They hope to have the work done before the end of the month.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
