Most New Yorkers feel safer in their neighborhoods than ever before, but a new survey shows Bronx residents don't share that sentiment.
A report by the Citizens Committee for New York City finds that while 75 percent of New Yorkers rank their neighborhoods from good to excellent, more than half of Bronx residents rate their neighborhood between poor and good.
According to the Citizens Committee, Bronx residents cited safety and cleanliness as the borough's main problems. However, the report didn't suggest reasons for those feelings.
On a positive note, the report noted that residents are most satisfied with the borough's diversity, transportation and cultural attractions like the Bronx Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
