Residents of Morris Park Avenue are furious that a hole in the middle of their block has not been repaired.
They say an effort to get the problem addressed by the city has been going on for weeks. Cones were put in as a temporary solution, but residents are calling on the city's Department of Transportation to fix the issue permanently.
"A car already went in that hole," says John Fratta, district manager of Community Board 11. "It's outrageous that it takes this long for the [DOT] to do something."
The DOT says it is aware of the hole and has had it backfilled, along with the placement of the cones. Officials with the DEP say it has not yet been determined whether they are responsible for fixing the issue.
