A Bronx man who's murder conviction was overturned by a State Supreme Court judge headed home from prison Wednesday.

Michael Clancy was convicted in 1997 of murdering John Buono in a Bronx pizzeria. Clancy was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, but was set free when David Prieto, a convicted drug dealer and witness to the slaying, testified last year that Clancy was not the shooter. Prieto also testified that he was the intended target of the killer.

Clancy's family waited for him to emerge from Rikers Island and planned to take him to dinner at his favorite Spanish restaurant on Tremont Avenue in the Bronx. He was scheduled to spend time with the rest of his family at his sister's home.
