The Bronx rang in the holidays Thursday night by lighting the Christmas tree in front of the County Building.
Many people came to watch the annual tree lighting, which was hosted by Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. Inside the building's rotunda was free hot chocolate and cookies for the crowd. Santa Claus was also on hand, taking pictures with children.
The tree lighting also featured a performance from two school choirs. Bronx's Christmas tree will remain on display until the first week of January.
