A family-owned Bronx business delivered thousands of turkeys from farms to tables on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Nebraskaland, a meat and seafood distributor at the Hunts Point Market, says they shipped over one million pounds of turkey this Thanksgiving season.
The business has been running for 25 years. Executive Vice President Daniel Romano says Nebraskaland is proud to be local and proud to employ and feed people in the area.
The turkeys are shipped from different producers around the country, and the Bronx is the main hub for all of the birds.
Even though turkey is what many eat on Thanksgiving Day, Romanoff says Bronx residents ask for other meats as well, including ham and pork.
