The only elevator inside 12-40 Sherman Ave. is broken again, and residents say it?s been in and out of service every day this past month.

According to residents, mothers with babies are forced to take up to six flights of stairs to get to their apartments - a precarious task when a stroller is involved. Others are sick and tired of schlepping their groceries upstairs.

The management company says it has been repairing the elevator. It adds that special parts were recently ordered to complete the work. The company expects to have the elevator back up by next week.
