9ds agoJason Starr, a 17-year-old from Briarcliff Manor, has been recognized with the 2023 Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes.
He founded the Briarcliff Tutor Partnership, a program matching middle and elementary school students with volunteer tutors from Briarcliff High School.
The initiative, born out of Jason's experience as a virtual tutor during the pandemic, has now expanded to 29 schools across multiple states.
