A young boy is in critical condition after being ejected from an SUV as it flipped over on the Bruckner Expressway Saturday.
The boy was traveling northbound with four others in a 2005 Ford when it hit a dip in the road, slammed into the median and overturned. It occurred at around 11:30 a.m.
Police say the boy was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
All five passengers were taken to Jacobi Medical Center. The boy is in critical but stable condition, and the others are in stable condition.
The crash happened not far from where an NYPD van crashed in September, killing a rookie officer and injuring eight others.
