Bowman sworn into Congress, named to two important committees

The congressman representing New York's 16th District was sworn in Sunday as a member of the United States House of Representatives.

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D) has officially marked a new political chapter.
The congressman representing New York's 16th District was sworn in Sunday as a member of the United States House of Representatives.
Bowman says his goal is to lead with love and compassion. "I hope to bring everything you all taught me to congress so I can fight for you and children across the country and across the world."
Bowman was also recently named to the House Committee on Education and Labor, bringing two decades of experience as a principal and educator.
