The Westchester Bomb Squad responded to an event for the removal of harmful household items in Carmel Saturday.

Video from the Putnam County Sheriff's Department shows the incident.

The Household Hazardous Waste Day offered a chance for residents to discard items like cleaners and pesticides when the bomb squad had to be called in.

Officials say they were able to safely remove the waste that prompted the call.
