A Yonkers boater is accused of speeding while drunk, through a construction zone around the Tappan Zee Bridge.
The Westchester County Police Marine Unit says Jose Diaz, 51, was pulled over north of the bridge just after 10 p.m. yesterday. They say construction was underway when Diaz's boat passed within 100 feet of an anchored barge with a crew on board.
Officers determined he was under the influence.
Diaz is expected to be in Greenburgh town court later this month.
