Westchester residents who renew their leases will soon have to shell out more for rent.
The Westchester Rent Guidelines Board voted on the increases Wednesday night. Tenants who sign a 1-year lease are facing a 2.25 percent increase or $20, whichever is higher. Tenants who renew for two years are facing a 4 percent increase or $40, whichever is higher.
The hikes go into effect in October.
