Two firefighters are recovering this morning after battling a blaze at a home in Yonkers.
Investigators say flames engulfed a mattress and a bed frame in the second-floor bedroom of the home on Remsen Road in Yonkers. They tell News 12 that the house is owned by an elderly woman who was not home at the time of the fire.
One firefighter suffered a back injury, while the other suffered a knee injury. They're expected to be OK.
Fire marshals are still investigating the cause of the flames.
