A spokeswoman for the ex-tennis star who was tackled during a mistaken arrest by a New York City police officer says James Blake plans to meet with the mayor and police commissioner.
Mary Jane Orman told The Associated Press Sunday that Blake will meet with Mayor Bill de Blasio and Police Commissioner William Bratton on Monday.
The mayor's office confirmed the meeting with Blake. An email message seeking comment from the NYPD wasn't immediately returned.
Surveillance video of Blake's arrest on Sept. 9 outside a Manhattan hotel shows the officer charge at Blake, grab him by the arm and roughly take him to the ground. The officer has been placed on desk duty.
The mayor and police commissioner have apologized to Blake.
Blake says the officer should lose his job.
