Conditions will remain very favorable across the region tonight. Coastal neighborhoods could experience patchy fog; otherwise, clear skies, calm winds, and temperatures in the low 40s. Normally, our low temperatures are in the upper 20s.
Tuesday is the Pick of the Week with mostly sunny skies and even warmer temperatures! There will be cooler temperatures closer to the Long Island Sound shore, but the further inland you go, the warmer the temperatures will get. Many spots will get into the low to mid-70s. The record for Tuesday at White Plains is 77 degrees (2016), and while temperatures will get toward 70, the chance of record-breaking warmth is unlikely.
Wednesday is when changes will begin for the region. A slow-moving system will bring clouds, then spotty rain showers throughout the day. There is increasing confidence that the system will be more organized, bringing rain across the region through Thursday morning and ending closer to noon. On the back end of the front, there is a chance that we could see some wet snow mixing in with the rain. However, the impacts of the snow would be rather low if this forms, but a concern for slushy roads exists.
