Hundreds of bikers took to the streets over the weekend for a good cause.
The Shield and Cross, a motorcycle group made up of mostly of police officers, firefighters and first responders from Harrison, rode with an escort from New Rochelle through New York City and up to Harrison to help to raise money for 3-year-old Taylor Madison.
The little girl is battling cystic fibrosis, a chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. "It's amazing, the support, and the friends that have turned into family. And so many people who care for my beautiful daughter, and how much we all fight to try to find a cure," says Taylor's mother Lauren McLoughlin. Shield and Cross raised more than $10,000 through the charity ride. All of the money will help pay for little Taylor's medical costs. "Taylor's mom is a single mom. She doesn't have much assistance from Taylor's dad and we [saw] the family had a need and we wanted to fill it," says Louis Spizzirro, of Shield and Cross.
