Former Vice President Joe Biden is laying out his vision on how to reopen the country after the outbreak slows.
Biden's op-ed in Sunday's New York Times comes as the Trump administration debates a potential reopening of the economy on May 1.
Biden is calling for more widespread testing as well as continued social distancing and broader use of the defense production act to provide health care supplies.
The presidential candidate said people should expect activities to gradually return, suggesting stores and workplaces open before arenas or other large venues.
