A Bronx senior is using his creative side to help inspire young artists in the borough.
Joe Moscato considers himself an artist and a photographer. His passion is to take black-and-white photos and turn them into abstract framed images.
The retired 70-year-old has always had a love for photography and now spends his time capturing life's moments. When Moscato isn't behind the lens, he is inspiring kids through his program called "The Idea Factory."
"The curriculum in the schools cut art programs, even music programs. I consider myself a bridge so the kids have some programs to go to," Moscato told News 12.
During the spring, he holds gallery shows on City Island, which display the artwork from youngsters. Moscato hopes to make his program into a nonprofit organization.
