A chef is trying to hold onto his current title of building the world's largest gingerbread village.
Chef Jon Lovitch is building close to 900 gingerbread houses for his annual display called Gingerbread Lane
The village is made from scratch, baked with 600 pounds of homemade dough, filled with 3,600 pounds of icing and topped with 700 pounds of candy.
The village will be on display through January at the New York Hall of Science in Queens.
