Back at Big Ed's off of route 34 here in Old Bridge, Aberdeen, Matawan. This place here is a staple of New Jersey. It is one of the best of New Jersey. Big Ed, the man right here. Uh Unlimited. What? All you can eat ribs, all you can eat all the time and drinks, drinks, beer, you name it. So what do we got? We have a moonshine. Well, this is something that it came up with when we first opened up back in 1992. It's called uh moonshine Lemonade. Uh When you drink it, uh it tastes like lemonade, but later on it, it tastes like uh maybe you should have slowed down a little bit. So what he said, responsibly, of course. How about this one? This one here is a Texas cooler. It's got whiskeys and multiple fruit juices in it. Once again, the the multiple whiskeys, once again, it tastes great, but be careful. These are 16 ounce glasses. So now I know you gotta come here, you're gonna have a good time. And this one here has, this is interesting. This is different from the other two, but this is something you made as well. Right. Right. Came up with that. It's called butter pecan. Tried to keep it with that barbecue, you know, south whatever feel, uh, that has, uh, you know, like Amaretta, uh, hazelnut, um, Kalua in it and also, uh, cream shaken. But once again goes down smooth, has enough alcohol in it. Listen, we have to talk about those ribs that's coming up a little bit later in the morning show because Big Ed here is gonna tell us what he has to offer.

It's Tuesday. That means it is time for the best of New Jersey this morning. Meteorologist, Mike Rizzo went to Matawan for finger licking all you can eat ribs and more so big Ed. How many pounds of ribs you go through? About £2500 depending on the time of the year, you know, give or take the season. It's a lot and you know what, all you can eat ribs. I don't blame them. I mean, we have three on display here. Big Ed. What's that one? Well, this is a spare rib. It's a bigger cut that has, uh, you know, a bigger bone. Uh, if you, I like to wrestle a little bit, you know, I like to chow into it. You know, this is the one for you. This has a, uh honey barbecue on it. So, what's the difference between the spare and the Saint Louis? The spare in the Saint Louis is basically a trim spare rib and it cuts some of the stuff off. This one has occasion seasoning on it and it smells very tender and, uh, you know, it's a, it's just a better, so it's like a trimmer version of the spare. And what about the baby back, baby back is our, that's our staple product. We buy the most of that each week. Those are a two and down. It's called, it means £2 and down. It's, uh, that has regular barbecue sauce on it. They trimmed and peeled. Uh, and we go through, you know, the most of that sides too. You have a coleslaw, the apple sauce and we have the corn, the potato, we have mac and cheese, french fries, onion rings, all that and all original sauces too, which you can mix it up no matter what. So you don't just have to get the way that it's presented here. You know, this is what your favorite is. I'm sure we're gonna have more from Big Ed's Barbecue in a bit because that spread that they got here. Wait to see that coming up.

It is Tuesday. That means it is time for the best of New Jersey. And today, meteorologist Mike Rizzo is heading to Mata on for finger licking all you can eat ribs and more big a destination restaurant here in Middlesex County, right off of route 34 in Old Bridge, Matawan. This place 32 years big. You have been running this show, running the shop and I'll tell you if you have not been here, you are truly missing out. Ed. What do we have on this table? Well, we have the spare ribs. We have coleslaw, unlimited amount of bread, complimentary that when I was a teenager and I was here. I remember that bread, but it, it doesn't show that that changed it. We have a seafood combo with fried shrimp, fried clams. We have a louise again. Uh, we have, uh, pulled pork with onion rings, beer batter. Uh, obviously salad comes with it. You can get two sides or you can get a salad and we have our staple product, which is our baby bag, right? With coleslaw and apples, original sauces. Same, same sauce from the beginning. We don't try to reinvented the wheel, no sense, baked beans, beans made with uh you know, molasses onions, put pork in it and there's a half chicken that's a pound and a half, half chicken glaze. That glaze is, that's a honey barbecue on there. Everything here smells delicious. Everybody and not only just smells delicious but looks delicious. Big. I have a question for you when someone walks into your restaurant, what do you want them to feel? What do you want them to experience? Well, I want them to feel like, you know, this is the only place you can go for this. Ok. And most likely this is the only place you can go for this non buffet. Probably in the whole country. All you can eat, all you can eat all the time. And that's why you're one of the best of the best ribs in Jersey.
