A Bee-Line bus driver was punched in the face while on the job, according to county police.

It happened just after 11 a.m. Tuesday at McLean Avenue and South Broadway.

According to investigators, a man was angry that the bus door did not open fast enough.

Police say that once the man got off the bus, he walked around to the driver's side and punched the driver in the face through the window.

The driver turned down medical attention, according to police.

Investigators say his alleged assailant took off running after the attack.

He remains on the run as of Wednesday afternoon.
