The Cross County Center in Yonkers announced Tuesday they are installing two new beehives.
They told News 12 the installation is a part of a goal to increase the bee population.
Each colony will start with 10,000 bees and grow to 50,000 by the peak of the season.
A naming contest is now underway to name the queen bees. To get involved, check out the County Center's Instagram page
