Two teachers and a principal have been pulled out of the Bedford Hills Elementary School for failing to report the alleged sexual abuse of a student.
Jennifer Conte and Regina Smith were apparently suspended because they were told of the alleged rape by the 9-year-old female student. The principal, Victoria Grabowski, has been placed on administrative leave. An interim principal for the school has been named.
In a letter to parents, Bedford School Superintendent Debra Jackson says the actions were taken because the educators failed to report the suspected child abuse to the appropriate authorities.
Bedford police say that although they have some leads, they have not been able to find the suspect.Related Information:
