State leaders said Thursday that more state money will be headed to the Bedford School District.
They gathered at Fox Lane High School to announce full restoration of school aid, plus a 5% boost in funding for the district.
Gov. Kathy Hochul's original budget would have seen reductions in school aid and foundation aid.
"These are all techinally words, but to kids, parents and schools, these are the bread and butter of what makes our school successful," said Sen. Shelley Mayer.
The district will now receive almost $10 million in total school aid.
