NEXT: Weather will shift come Friday night. Watching for a weather system to make its way up the coast Friday night into the weekend bringing heavy rain, and gusty winds that could range from 25-35 mph. WEATHER TO WATCH will be in play for the weekend.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says it will be nice to end the workweek, but heavy rain and gusty winds move in for Saturday.
THURSDAY: NICE AGAIN! Sunny with highs around 73 degrees. Lows near 53 degrees.
FRIDAY: Sun to start with clouds increasing through the afternoon. It will stay dry. Highs around 72 degrees and becoming breezy. Lows around 58 degrees.
SATURDAY: WEATHER TO WATCH -- FALL ARRIVES 2:50 a.m. -- Chances are increasing for a nor'easter to impact the lower Hudson Valley with periods of rain and wind gusts 20 to 35 mph. Expect to bring in any outdoor plans. While some scattered outages cannot be ruled out, widespread power issues are not expected at this time. It will likely just be a very nasty start to the weekend. Rain totals will vary greatly but can be as high as two to three inches in Westchester and Rockland counties (dependent on storm track). Cool with highs mostly in the mid-60s.
