There are now three new and improved exhibits you can check out at Bear Mountain State Park's Trailside Zoo.
A $1.8 million project helped create more space for a porcupine, bobcat and fox to soon roam.
"All these animals are animals that recovered. There are animals that were found in the wild, can't be in the wild anymore. Maybe they were domesticated. Maybe they were wounded. Maybe they had conditions. Which they're all here. These were animals that can't live in the wild so we're protecting them and offering the public a chance to see wildlife,” says NYS Parks Commissioner Erik Kulleseid.
News 12 is told future upgrades would also increase the Bear Mountain State Park's picnic area capacity.
