A 26-year-old from Beacon has been charged with assault in a stabbing that occurred on Monday, according to police

The incident took place near Fishkill Avenue and Main Street. The victim was later found bleeding in his car in the parking lot of the police headquarters.

Police managed to recover the weapon allegedly used by Melvin Grant during the attack. The victim, who sustained stab wounds, was discovered in stable condition and was promptly taken to the hospital.
