Beacon man accused in violent Poughkeepsie attack faces more charges

A Beacon man who authorities say was involved in a violent attack in Poughkeepsie now faces more charges.
Rakim Paulin, 44, was arrested last summer after chasing a man with a machete and hitting him with a vehicle, according to police.
Court records revealed he was released from jail this past May on just over $1,300 cash bail.
Paulin was back behind bars after the Dutchess County Drug Task Force say they found him with a large amount of narcotics during a traffic stop.
He has since been arrested and charged with the intent to sell.
