The Baptist Church Road Bridge will be closed for construction starting Oct. 16, according to the Yorktown Highway Department.
The project comes after the New York City Department of Environmental Protection submitted an application to replace the entire bridge.
Construction includes 12-foot travel lanes, two-foot shoulders on both sides and a new guardrail. Any overgrown trees and rocks will be removed.
It's not clear how long the construction will take.
