A house in Rye Brook was destroyed in a massive fire early Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say the blaze began in a three-story home just before 2 p.m. at 496 West William St.
Several fire companies responded to the blaze, according to officials.
"As of right now, we only have a couple injuries to firefighters, but there were no victims in the house. There was a reported victim when we pulled up and we did a primary search right away and we did not locate anyone. We did have to pull two of our members off the roof as the roof was collapsing, but we were able to get them off into the bucket right away. We have the fire knocked down. We're in the process of overhauling all three floors, and then just mopping up,” said Port Chester Fire Chief Angelo Sposta.
