At least 30 school districts across New York might not have their ballots ready for voters in next week's elections.
School elections are less than a week away, and concern is now growing that voters will not have their ballots in time.

At least 30 school districts statewide are scrambling after the company used to print ballot envelopes ran out of supplies.

School votes were delayed from May to June 9 due to the coronavirus and are mail-in only.

Many, if not all, voters in districts like Brewster, Mahopac and New Rochelle have not received their ballots yet.
This mistake is impacting tens of thousands of local voters.

The concern now is whether or not they will have enough time to submit their votes before the deadline passes.

"They're going to go first class to each resident so they should be getting into mailboxes hopefully some of them today, tomorrow, at the latest we're hoping, we can't guarantee Saturday," says Brewster Central School District Superintendent Dr. Laurie Bandlow.
Some districts are offering voters the option to submit their ballots to the district office directly instead of mailing them back.

State Sen. Pete Harckham is proposing a bill pushing back the vote until June 16 to allow voters more time to get their ballots.
