Town of Crawford police say the crash happened Tuesday in Bullville on Route 17K.
A damaged SUV was discovered down a deep ditch with its airbags deployed.
Another car also badly damaged.
Crawford police say 17K was reopened after 9 p.m.
New York State police are assisting town police with the investigation.
