Former two-term Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is calling for transparency from Gov. Kathy Hochul concerning ongoing so-called "mystery flights" out of the county airport.
Astorino, who's also in the race for governor, criticized Hochul for remaining silent about these flights packed with undocumented immigrants regularly landing in Westchester.
Astorino released a statement that reads, "We know suspected terrorists are crossing our southern border, yet we continue to secretly relocate to New York people whose identities are virtually unknown to us, real possible dangers are being ignored in the process, including drugs and gangs, not to mention the cost to hard working taxpayers. It's time for Governor Hochul to come clean about what's going on."
The flights are operated by the federal government as part of the Biden administration's border plan to relocate and reunite migrants with their families.
The federal Department of Homeland Security told News 12 the flights are legal.
